The Washington Wrap (general)

Pre-season is over.
Training Camp is over.

We now know as much as we'll ever know about this Washington Football Team as they embark on their 2021 campaign, so today your hosts Chad Ryan, Felix Trammell, and Robbie Duncan try and wrap up their final thoughts with a ten minute time limit ticking on the clock!

Who are the starters? What are the weak points of the roster? Should Ron Rivera have brought in competition at Kicker? All of this and more on today's episode of The Washington Wrap.

We have reached the halfway point of Training Camp 2021 for the Washington Football Team, so it's time to take a step back and reflect on what's looking good and what needs to improve as we head into the upcoming season.

Hosts Chad Ryan and Robbie Duncan have just ten minutes to wrap it up, and with the clock ticking there's no time to waste!

Last week the Redskins still had a faint glimmer of hope, but this past week in Green Bay that hope was extinguished, and now the season is all about running out the clock and trying to move on towards a more productive 2020 both on and off the field.

Hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by good friend Chris Russell (106.7 The Fan, Sports Illustrated) to dive into the fact that there's three games between now and the offseason for the Washington Redskins, and all three are against the NFC East. So for those fans who don't care about getting the absolute best draft pick possible, there's also some inter-divisional pride up for grabs too.

With a Quarterback who sprained his ankle, a Running Back who sprained his MCL, a Cornerback who was on drugs, an Interim Coach who probably deserves to be fired, and a Team President /slash/ self-designated Emperor in his last weeks with the team, there's a lot going on in the final stages of the 2019 season.

So let's talk about that a bit today, shall we?

Washington Redskins Training Camp 2019 is well and truly underway, and in a few short days the team will make their way to Cleveland Ohio for week one of preseason football.

To take us through the news so far from  camp, and what story lines we'll all be following throughout the preseason, this week making his triumphant return to the place he called home for training camp last year, hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by Chip Brierre from ABC7 News Washington DC!

We discuss the Quarterback situation as news emerges that Colt McCoy will not play in preseason week one, and the impacts that will have up and down the offense. We also dive into updates on guys like Derrius Guice, Trey Quinn, and Landon Collins, as well as the rookie Dwayne Haskins!

All of that and a lot of laughs on another fun episode of Redskins Capital Connection!

We've got a great show for you on this week's Redskins Capital Connection

Host Chad Ryan has an exclusive one-on-one interview with Redskins rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin, where they talk about his route tree, his best 'position' as a wide receiver in the NFL, and his perceptions of the poor corner backs that are forced to try and keep up with his blazing 4.35 speed!

Together with co-host Mark Phillips, we also break down where we're at with the Trent Williams hold-out situation, including the apparent poor perceptions of the Redskins medical personnel that RCC's own Rob Henson has been trying to tell people for some time.

And because mandatory minicamp is well underway, we have actual football to discuss as well. Sure, the players aren't in pads and aren't hitting each other, but a little bit of football is better than no football.

It's a fun episode today! Enjoy, and don't forget to leave us a rating & review on whatever podcast platform you're listening to Redskins Capital Connection on - it helps us massively.

Sigh.

Things seemed so good such a short time ago, but a few bad losses and then one especially bad loss this past Sunday against the New York Giants, and it has quickly unraveled.

There's literally so much drama around this team right now that hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips had to make an itemized list just to cover it all with today's guest Michael Phillips from the Richmond Times-Dispatch (no relation).

That list includes;

  • Mark Sanchez's long storied career as the Redskins starter is over
  • The Redskins will start a 4th QB in the same season for the first time ever
  • Mason Foster drama and confusion on social media
  • Zach Brown's comments about his future with the team
  • Bruce Allen's job security, and then being linked, then not linked, to Oakland
  • Jay Gruden's job security
  • Derrius Guice news finally broke about his set backs in his rehab, (but he's fine now)
  • Josh Doctson is in the concussion protocol
  • Basically every OL player is listed on the injury report
  • Oh yeah, and the Redskins were down 40-0 against the putrid New York Giants

Warning; there are some swear words on today's episode.

Instead of doing an 'emergency' podcast right after the Washington Redskins claimed Reuben Foster off waivers, we here at Redskins Capital Connection wanted to pause for a moment and let at least a few more details roll in before talking about it.

Well, we have some more details but we still have a lot of questions.

Today, hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by Craig Hoffman (106.7 The Fan) to unpack what we know about how and why the Redskins elected to claim a man twice accused of domestic violence. It's a discussion that deals with a lot of uncertainty, but we attempt to stick with what we know and what it leads us to believe.

We also look ahead to this week's NFC East action that could see the Redskins back in outright 1st place... or they could drop to out-right 3rd place. It's a pivotal week, to say the least.

As always, thank you for tuning in - tell your friends and enjoy the show.

Welcome back to the Redskins Capital Connection - your number one source of independent coverage of the Washington Redskins.

We've got a great show for you today, but right at the top we have an announcement from the Redskins themselves; if you are a 6'5 300lb human who knows how to keep your centre of gravity low, please report to Redskins Park in Ashburn Virginia for your new contract to play offensive line for this football team. Coach Callahan will bring you up to speed...

Of course we're kidding, but the Redskins offensive line suffered a brutal round of luck in the 38-14 loss against the Atlanta Falcons this past week in round 9 of the 2018 NFL season, losing not only Left Guard Shawn Lauvao to a season ending ACL injury, but also Pro-Bowl Right Guard Brandon Scherff to a season-ending pectoral tear. This in a game where Pro-Bowl LT Trent Williams was watching from the sidelines already, and Morgan Moses just lives in a state of perpetual dinged up status, and things are suddenly looking bleak for a team whose 5 wins this year have come on the back of a solid ground game and keeping the QB protected.

To talk about this and more, your hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by their pal, the sports editor of the Richmond Times-DispatchMichael Phillips.

Tune in, enjoy the show, learn a couple of things, and then when you're done tell your friends and share the love!

For those who have been long-time listeners of the Redskins Capital Connection podcast, you'll know that in years past we use the bye week as an opportunity to take a step back and try and get a 'big picture' look at how the Redskins season is tracking by talking to a national NFL reporter as opposed to one of the players or local beat writers.

A week four bye makes that a little trickier though.

Given the small sample size, however, we're fortunate that there's a friend of the show who seemed perfect for this challenge today, so hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips dialed up Mike Jones (USA Today, formerly Washington Post).

Together they talk about what we've seen from the 2-1 Redskins thus far, what the coming weeks will reveal about this team, and what the biggest factors contributing to their ability to make the playoffs in 2018 will be.

All of that, plus a quick recap of the Packers win, a preview of the Saints game, and Chad starting the show tripping over basic words.

Enjoy the show!

After 35 long weeks of offseason, of OTAs, of minicamp, of Training Camp, and of preseason... in 72 hours the Washington Redskins play regular season football once again!

We made it!

That's right; on Sunday afternoon at 425pm the Redskins host the Arizona Cardinals at FedEx field and here to help host Chad Ryan preview everything there is about this game is an old friend of the show, Mark Bullock fresh off the announcement that he is one of the founding members of The Athletic's foray into DC!

Together they cover everything including why Las Vegas thinks the Cardinals are so bad, how to stop David Johnson, and what to expect from the first real outing of Alex Smith as the new franchise Quarterback for Washington.

All of that and so much more. You'll just have to trust us on that one until you tune in, but there's a lot covered today!

The Redskins offseason is officially over!

Yes, with Head Coach Jay Gruden cancelling the last day of mandatory minicamp, the Redskins players have now been released back in to the wild for the last time in 2018 as they now enjoy five and a half weeks of personal time to do whatever they please, so long as they report to Training Camp on July 26 in fit and fighting condition.

Today hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are once again joined by Redskins Capital Connection's own Robbie Duncan as we continue our ongoing series that looks at every position group and every player currently on the Redskins 90 man roster.

And this week to help us look at the Running Backs, we have a very special guest; Redskins RB Chris Thompson dials in to the show for a quick 1-on-1 chat with Chad about life in the Running Backs room in 2018, his own recovery, and what fans can expect in 2018.

We recap minicamp, including the buzz surrounding both Alex Smith and Derrius Guice, and take a deep dive on the Wide Receivers as well.

All in all, another fun show! Tell your friends!

Hosts Chad RyanMark Phillips, and guest third-wheel Robbie Duncan are your pilots today on another episode of the Redskins Capital Connection podcast!

On today's show we're going to be starting our pre-training camp series of positional reviews, where we look at the current lineup of players across all the different positions, talk about who are stone-cold locks to make the roster, who has to fight for a spot, who is exciting us and intriguing us, and other bits and pieces of info.

This week we're kicking the series off by looking at the Defensive Backs and Linebackers, which makes for a great and insightful chat.

Also on this week's show, we learned last week that good friend of the show and just all around absolute champion Liz Clarke from the Washington Post is transitioning off of the Redskins beat and covering other sports for the Post now. So Chad took it upon himself to conduct her Redskins Beat Exit Interview. It's all a bit silly but we think it was a lot of fun and it really gave Liz a great chance to reflect upon her time on the beat in a unique way, and is a great lens upon which to look at this organisation through.

Thanks as always for tuning in!

This week saw the 2018 football offseason officially begin as the Washington Redskins players returned to Ashburn for their first round of offseason strength and conditioning workouts in team facilities this year!

So things are finally starting to get exciting both locally with the Redskins, and nationally across the league as we get closer to next week's 2018 NFL draft, which we will talk about on today's show by continuing our theme from last week where we look at three potential first round picks for the Redskins by looking at notable mock drafts and talking about the players they've projected to Washington, and what each board looks like.

Last week we spoke about Derrius Guice, Vita Vea and Derwin James. This week it's Da'Ron Payne, Denzel Ward and Tremaine Edmunds!

Join hosts Chad RyanMark Phillips, and Robbie Duncan as they talk about those three potential first round rookies as well as recapping all the Redskins news of the past week!

We're back!

After a one week hiatus due to some rubbish scheduling on our part, the world's number one podcast dedicated to the Washington Redskins is back just in time to.... talk about the second crappy loss in a row. Hooray?!

Hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips may be on the opposite side of the world from each other, but don't let the geography fool you; we here at Redskins Capital Connection are plugged in to everything that's going on and are here to help you peek behind the curtain and stay up to date on everything Redskins, even if you've now checked out mentally on season 2017 and are now just hyping yourself up for the release of Star Wars this week. We understand.

On today's show we're joined by pal Chris Russell (106.7 The Fan), and together we focus on a couple of key questions, starting with Jay Gruden and whether or not he is (or should be) on the hot-seat.

Sort of related but also sort of separately, we also discuss the comments we're hearing from players like DJ Swearinger and Josh Norman, and what they might mean for the coaching situation.

We'll also take a look at guys like Trent Williams who could be shut down for the year now that the Redskins are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

All that and much more!

We've reached the first quarter mark of the 2017 Washington Redskins campaign, and it just so happens to coincide with the bye week, so what better time to recap not only the 29-20 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football, but also step back and look at the big picture after four games.

The Redskins find themselves at 2-2 heading into the bye, and there have been some enormously positive signs so far, but also still some areas of concern remain, and the room for improvement is still very much there.

To help host Chad Ryan unpack all of this, friend of the show Michael Phillips (Richmond Times-Dispatch Sports Editor) dials in and talks about the biggest bright spots, the biggest surprises, and the biggest concerns as the Redskins look to compete for a playoff spot once again in 2017.

It was a huge week of football, both on and off the field, as the Washington Redskins absolutely decimated the Oakland Raiders in a performance that we haven't seen in many, many years. The question now is; was it an aberration, or have the Redskins turned a corner?

To help hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips really dive deep into that question, as well as unpacking the protests that cast a large shadow over the football world this weekend, they are joined by Jerry Brewer from the Washington Post.

They start off with a discussion about the President's comments and the way the football world, and specifically the Redskins, responded. If you don't want to listen to that, skip ahead to the 19:30 mark when the discussion squarely comes back to football, including just how that win against the Raiders can be the kind of victory that changes the identity of a team.

We then move on to previewing what is perhaps the toughest game on the Redskins 2017 schedule as they travel to Arrowhead stadium in Kansas City under the bright lights of Monday Night Football.

You want a big show? You've got a big show!

On today's Redskins Capital Connection, we are pulling out all the stops to bring you the best wall-to-wall coverage of the Washington Redskins!

First up, hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips are joined by Redskins beat reporter Lake Lewis (USA Today's The Redskins Wire) to recap the week two victory over the Los Angeles Rams - a game that became a bit of a 'bodybag' encounter for the Redskins that saw a whopping eight players leave the game injured at different points.

We then cast our eyes forward to the prime time Sunday night game at FedEx Field against the Oakland Raiders, and to do so we're joined by Redskins royalty! Santana Moss dials in to the show and explains why Redskins fans should be more patient with Terrelle Pryor and Josh Doctson, and also what makes the Raiders receivers so dangerous.

All that and much, much more!

If you're new to On the Warpath, it is a debate-style show where over a series of three 'rounds', Rob and Robbie discuss and deliberate over the biggest questions surrounding the Washington Redskins!

Today, they are figuring out what went wrong and what went right versus the Los Angeles Rams, identify who the biggest standouts on the team are, and discuss the keys to the upcoming Oakland Raiders game.

Hosts Chad and Mark are here to cover all the topics of note, and to help them along the way we dial up the least tanned member of the cabal of characters who cover the Washington Redskins; our good friend Mark Bullock from the Washington Post Insider.

Together we'll be talking about what went wrong for the Redskins in Week One before casting our eyes forward to this interesting Week Two match against the Los Angeles Rams at the LA Coliseum - a stadium the Redskins haven't played in for twenty eight years!

Regular season football! At last! It's here!

Don't get us wrong. Training Camp is fun. Preseason has it's place. Offseason workouts can present interesting storylines. But none of that holds a candle to the pure unadulterated joy that comes with the territory of regular season football.

The Washington Redskins open their 2017 season hosting division rivals the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, and to help hosts Chad Ryan, Mark Phillips, and Robbie Duncan preview that game, we're joined today by Conor Orr (NFL.com/Around the NFL podcast) making his Redskins Capital Connection debut!

Together they discuss the battle between the Redskins re-designed Wide Receiver corps vs the Eagles re-designed Cornerbacks, the importance of winning the battle in the trenches, and just where the Redskins ceiling is for 2017.

Today's Redskins Capital Connection podcast is a special unscheduled episode - we're not going to be talking about week one versus the Eagles today, or hit any of our season preview topics - we'll be covering all of that on Wednesday's regularly scheduled RCC podcast.

Instead this is a quick-hit episode today, and we're here to talk about the news that broke Sunday afternoon that Redskins second year player Su'a Cravens has had to be talked out of retiring, and to give both the team and player some time, he's been placed on the non-football exempt list.

Whenever news breaks, good or bad, the Washington Post's Mike Jones is our first port of call. To understand what's behind all of this, as well as the ramifications for the Redskins moving forward, we dive into the history, the facts, and the confusion surrounding what is clearly a strange and surreal situation.

Listen closely as Jones drops some valuable knowledge about what really happened in these contract negotiations, as it may change your mind on some aspects. It changed Chad's mind, at least.

Good news, Redskins fans; it wasn't a dream.

Yes, the Washington Redskins really were fortuitous enough to have hometown hero and absolute stud Defensive Lineman Jonathan Allen fall into their laps at pick 17, where he was promptly snapped up.

Hosts Chad Ryan and Mark Phillips recap the crazy night that was Round One of the NFL Draft, including Chad's late night phone call with Redskins Insider Michael Phillips live from NFL Draft headquarters in Philadelphia. Michael was one of the few Redskins reporters in Philadelphia for the draft, and as such was also one of the first to actually speak with Jonathan Allen after he was drafted.

Together we recap (and provide reassurance regarding) the situation with Allen's shoulders, what role he'll play with the Redskins, and what this pick means for the rest of the Redskins draft.

Also, we run you through the names we'll be looking at in Round Two of the NFL Draft tonight, because there is still plenty of talent left on that board!

Just because it's the offseason doesn't mean that the Redskins Capital Connection crew is slacking off, and to prove it, this week's episode is a double-header!

First up, hosts Chad and Mark are joined by Reese Waters, comedian, ESPN presenter, writer for TheUndefeated.com, and above all else, Redskins fan. We talk about finding the humor in following the Washington Redskins even when they continually break our heart, as well as trying to figure out if it's gotten to that point of the offseason where we've willingly forgotten the past torment and are bewilderingly optimistic for the season ahead.

Later in the show we are once again joined by our good friend Mark Bullock from the Washington Post Insider as well as the Bleacher Report Top 1000. With Mark we break down the status of the Safety position with the Redskins as it currently stands, and try to ascertain whether or not DJ Swearinger and Su'a Cravens are locked in as the starters for 2017, or if there's still room for a rookie.

It is entirely possible that there hasn't been a more tumultuous week in recent Redskins history than the past seven days.

That is not hyperbole, either.

In the space of a week we've seen General Manager Scot McCloughan fired with cause, Quarterback Kirk Cousins requested a trade to the San Francisco 49ers, the Redskins became the first team in NFL history to lose two 1,000 yard receivers in the same offseason, and Head Coach Jay Gruden was extended for two years. And that's not to mention the fact that free agency has commenced!

To help hosts Chad and Mark wade through these murky waters, they are joined by the one and only Mike Jones from the Washington Post, who has been on the cutting edge of the McCloughan story (among others) in the past few weeks. Together, we peel back the curtain and ask Mike when he decided that this story had real meat on the bone, so to speak, and what went into going public with the sordid details of the apparent Scot McCloughan/Bruce Allen turf war.

We also cover off NFL free agency and the latest in Redskins news on that front, and finally, yes, we address the latest on the Kirk Cousins trade front, as well as Chad addressing his controversial "90% likely" report.

All that and more on another episode of Redskins Capital Connection!

Either the Washington Redskins are a team in disarray, or they aren't. Either Scot McCloughan is finished in Washington, or he isn't. Either Kirk Cousins is the Redskins Quarterback of the Future, or he's not. Either the media is over-blowing the drama surrounding the team, or they aren't.

This week, those are the questions that your On the Warpath hosts Anthony and Rob are attempting to answer, and to help them do so they're joined by Redskins Capital Connection's own Robbie Duncan

Together, they also try to focus on football related matters as they recap the NFL scouting combine and identify potential targets for the Redskins.

Major confusion and uncertainty quickly surrounded the Washington Redskins as news broke that General Manager Scot McCloughan would not be attending the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis this year. The official report was soon clarified that it was due to a death in his family, but a conflicting report also came out that said McCloughan had been "sent home" from Redskins park on February 20 and told not to return. Oooh boy.

Hosts Chad and Mark are joined by friend of the show and 106.7 reporter Brian McNally, who was in direct contact with McCloughan as the story broke last night. McNally walks us through everything that we know, everything that we don't know, and what it all means.

We also discuss the latest news on the Kirk Cousins contract saga, as news broke today that formal negotiations have begun, but the team and player remain "far apart" in contract talks.

Finally, we unpack the NFL scouting combine itself, and get the latest from Indianapolis!

A huge show that can't be missed!

Just because it's the offseason doesn't mean things aren't happening!

This week's on Redskins Capital Connection, hosts Chad and Mark bring you a humdinger of a show, as they dive straight into the Kirk Cousins contract uncertainty. Chad shares his outline of four possible outcomes for this saga to get resolved, and ranks them in order of most to least likely to occur.

Later in the show, we talk to Dan Kadar, the NFL Draft editor from SB Nation, whom you may know on twitter as @MockingTheDraft. He released a very interesting mock draft this week that had Scot McCloughan and the Redskins trading down from 17 to 26 with Seattle, and selecting Washington's Budda Baker, a safety with a lot to get excited about.

And speaking of Scot McCloughan, we give you an oft-overlooked aspect of the media-gag that Redskins president Bruce Allen has slapped on him.

The On the Warpath boys are back in 2017, and in this first show of the new year, they debate all the Redskins news that's occurred since the end of the season!

What is the team going to end up doing with Kirk Cousins? Tag? Trade? Wave goodbye? There's a lot of different pathways ahead for Bruce Allen and the front office when it comes to the Quarterback. What about the coaching changes with the firing of Joe Barry and the vacancy left by Sean McVay's taking over the reigns in Los Angeles? Were the new Offensive and Defensive coordinators that the Redskins selected a result of panic moves? And finally, this remains a roster with many holes to be filled; which Redskins free agents should be retained, what about free agents brought into the organization, and of course... the draft!

All that and more on the first episode of On the Warpath for 2017!

The Washington Redskins have found themselves both a new Offensive and Defensive Coordinator for season 2017 (and beyond?), promoting two in-house assistant coaches in Matt Cavanaugh and Greg Manusky, respectively.

Given some of the big names linked with the Redskins coordinator vacancies, especially on the defensive side, should fans be disappointed or concerned about what these "uninspired" in-house promotions signal for ongoing stability moving forward?

To help hosts Chad and Mark unpack all of that, they once again call upon good friend of the show and all around football genius Jerry Brewer from the Washington Post. Unsurprisingly, Jerry brings some fascinating insight into the selection process and the perceptions that emanate from these hirings.

Towards the end of our chat, we ask Jerry about the current status of the looming negotiations between the Redskins and Kirk Cousins, and Jerry drops a couple of bombs on us about just how different the public comments from each side may be compared to the actual thinking and plans.

It's a must-listen episode for Redskins fans who, like us, still live and breathe Redskins football even in the early stages of what is already proving to be an interesting offseason!

With the Washington Redskins facing a huge week 17 game against the New York Giants on Sunday that will either extend or extinguish the 2016 season, we felt it was time for the On the Warpath listeners to get as much insight as possible, even if it's from a division rival...

That's why your hosts Anthony Raposa and Robert Henson have dialed up former New York Giants Cornerback Brian Witherspoon!

Together, they ponder whether or not the huge amount of pressure facing the Redskins this week can propel them into the playoffs with all of America watching, or will they shrink under the weight of expectation? And if the Redskins do make the playoffs, which team out of the possible opponents would be ideal? Lastly, can the Redskins go beyond week one of the postseason, or are they facing another one-and-done disappointment?

That's right; this week your On the Warpath hosts Anthony Raposa and Robert Henson have dialed up Redskins Capital Connection czar Chad Ryan to come on to the show and have a good old fashioned debate!

Wasting no time, the first question tonight focuses on Kirk Cousins, and how much you'd offer him in a long-term deal moving forward, and what you'd do to secure him. Following that, we dive head first into the other pressing issues like choosing what to do with DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon, and how Scot McCloughan could fix this Redskins defense.

It's a monster show this week, perfect for those long drives home for Christmas.

With so much happening around Redskins park, it's a mammoth episode of Redskins Capital Connection this week as hosts Chad and Mark are joined by Master Tesfatsion (The Washington Post) to break it all down;

Josh Norman's pivotal battle against his former team this week could see his newly adopted Redskins formally end the Panthers season - how does that weigh on Norman and is he the kind of player who will have had this game circled on the calendar for a while?

Beyond just Josh Norman, this is a huge game for the Redskins this week as they remain in the hunt for the NFC wildcard ticket to the playoffs, but they need to keep winning to stay within reach.

We also ask the question that has been dominating Redskins social media this week; who do you keep in 2017 between DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garcon?

We dive head first in to all the key aspects of this week's game, and leave no stone unturned, unless we have deemed that stone ugly and boring. We aren't stone communists, after all.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. But how tough are these Washington Redskins? That is the central theme of debate on this week's episode of On the Warpath, as hosts Anthony Raposa and Rob Henson are joined by Redskins Capital Connection's own superstar rookie Robbie Duncan

The Cardinals loss last weekend hurt the Redskins in their hunt for the wildcard spot in this year's playoffs, so who is to blame? And after the game Coach Gruden gave the players a classic old fashioned spray, but how much does that actually help the team moving forward? Furthermore, now that Trent Williams has returned it is fair to ask; did his suspension cost the Redskins a win?

It's another fun episode this week, so kick back, relax, and listen to two self proclaimed 'super-nerds' go toe-to-toe against a former NFL player and see who comes out on top!

Week 14 w/ JP Finlay

As we enter the last month of the 2016 NFL regular season, the Washington Redskins find themselves a half-game outside of the playoffs. They remain well and truly in the hunt, but this past weekend's loss to the Arizona Cardinals has seriously dinged their momentum heading into the business end of the season. Can they bounce back?

That is the question that hosts Chad and Mark start off with this week, before dialing up friend of the show JP Finlay (Redskins Insider for CSN). Together, the boys check in on the status of Spencer Long (concussion protocol) and Jordan Reed, and then talk about the Redskins defense and the growing 'fire Joe Barry' calls on social media. We finish it up with a discussion on the simple question; 'if Gruden wants more run plays, why doesn't he just call more run plays?'.

It's a fun and insightful chat, and one which we are sure Redskins fans far and wide will enjoy.

The starting Running Back job will be in the hands of someone new this year, but is it Matt Jones' job to lose, or will he face competition?
